66 | A Cryptocurrency Allowing Speed And Privacy Features.

Dash is a digital currency that enables anyone, anywhere in the world to make quick, easy, and cheap payments at any time without going through a central authority.

Based on a decentralized peer-to-peer network, and secured by strong cryptography, Dash offers a safe and user-friendly payment method without barriers.

Dash is portable, inexpensive, divisible, and fast digital cash for both the internet and everyday life.

Dash was launched on January 18, 2014, by founder Evan Duffield, and relies on these three features: speed, privacy, and usability.

Due to its low fees and fast transactions, Dash is used around the world as a practical alternative to cash and credit cards.

It is also a useful solution in the international remittance market. It is particularly popular in regions where technical access barriers exist to traditional payment systems, or where hyperinflation has made existing currency impractical to use.

As a Proof-of-Work cryptocurrency (X11 hashing algorithm), Dash relies on a network of Master Nodes (requiring 1000 DASH). Its supply inflation rate is decaying: it is bound to reach 0 in 2150.

Also, Dash was the first cryptocurrency to include built-in privacy functions. Specifically, it introduced an extension of CoinJoin: PrivateSend. It is similar to a decentralized mixing service. Built at the protocol level, it is designed to keep coins fully fungible.
